Every dog must have a current C5 vaccination prior to checking in to Paradise Pet Retreat. Pets that have not been vaccinated for more than 12 months must be vaccinated no less than fourteen (14) days before checking in for boarding or day-care. By law; vaccination certificates need to be sighted by a member of the Paradise Pet Retreat team before your pet enters the facility.
Families with two or more pets sharing the same accommodation receive a 10% discount on boarding costs. Pets staying with us for 28 days or longer also receive a 10% discount on boarding costs outside of peak times. Our staff are trained to handle complex medication regimes; however, we are unable to administer insulin to pets. A small daily fee applies to administering medication. Please ensure all prescription medications are provided with the dosage label as prescribed by your veterinarian. We cannot accept medications that are unlabelled or loose.
We provide Premium Royal Canin food and slow cooked chicken breast to tempt even the fussiest of eaters, but if your dog needs a special diet you are most welcome to bring it with you. We also provide hammock beds and a variety of toys, therefore there is no need to bring any personal items. If you choose to bring personal bedding and toys, please understand we cannot guarantee the return of these toys as they are often taken in to play areas and may be damaged by guests.

Our dog accommodation is comprised of Standard and Deluxe Suites. Our standard rooms offer all of the necessities within their own private room. This includes, but is not limited to food and water, a hammock bed and an outside enclosed area for your dog to enjoy. Our 12 deluxe suites exude luxury with their chandelier lights, climate-controlled, personal TVs and complimentary bath and blowdry before check-out.
Yes, we can board your pets of the same species in the same suite, as space allows. Typically we allow up to 2 large dogs or up to 3 small dogs to board together in a room.
Vaccination: Every dog must have a current C5 vaccination before checking in. Flea and Worm Treatments: All pets must have had recent flea and worm treatment not more than 1 month before check-in as per the Code of Practice for Boarding Kennels and Catteries. Any pets coming into Paradise Pet Retreat that are found to have fleas or worms will receive immediate treatment at the cost of the owner. We are located in a known tick area, so we highly recommend that your animals be treated for ticks no more than 1 month before check-in.
No, for dogs, we always ensure that non-desexed males and females are exercised in separate areas regardless of whether females are on heat or not. Dogs who participate in Group Play Sessions are carefully matched by age, size, breed, sex and temperament.

All dogs are exercised twice a day. With the owner's consent, dogs can join one of our social groups for play and interaction. For non-social dogs, we provide individual exercise sessions with a dedicated team member. Additionally, for dogs needing more activity, we offer extra Enrichment Packages tailored to their needs.
Our Deluxe suite guests receive a complimentary bath upon departure, regardless of the length of stay. Our guests in Standard accommodation will receive a complimentary bath if their stay is 7 days or longer. If you would like to book a bath upon departure and your dog does not qualify for a complimentary bath, this can be added to your booking under 'Extras'.
As a social kennel, we encourage dogs to interact and play together under our supervision. Group play is only allowed with the owner’s permission and newcomers are carefully assessed by our trained team for compatibility before joining a group play session. Please let us know if you prefer your dog not to participate in playtime.

We offer inspections by appointment on Tuesday through Thursday at 9:30 AM. Click here to enquire. Please note that inspections are not available during school holidays due to peak activity. We kindly ask that you do not bring your pet to the inspection. If these times are not suitable, please contact our office to arrange an alternative.
During school holidays and peak periods, we require a minimum 4-day stay.
To minimise disruptions to our other guests, clients are not permitted to accompany their pets to their suites. However, inspections are always welcome before your pet’s arrival if you’d like to see where they’ll be staying.

Over the past few years, the demand for our service has increased significantly and along with this we have experienced an increase in customers making bookings far in advance, so they don’t ‘miss out’ and then cancelling last minute. While we understand that plans can change, these last-minute cancellations have posed significant challenges for us as a business.
Not only is it extremely hard to fill these rooms at the last minute, but it also impacts the experience of other customers who may have been turned away due to the lack of availability.
By requiring upfront payment, we're asking for a financial commitment from our customers to confirm their booking. This helps us to ensure all confirmed bookings have a genuine intention of following through with the booking.

As per our Cancellation and Refund Policy, when 30 days’ notice is given, a full refund is given minus a $32.00 administration fee. If less than 30 days but more than 3 days’ notice is given, a 50% refund is returned minus a $32.00 administration fee. If less than 3 days’ notice is given, no refund is applicable.

As early as you can! Our accommodation books out very quickly for weekends and school holidays. We recommend booking at least ten months in advance for Christmas and Easter, three months for School Holidays and long weekends and one month for all other weekends.
We offer an ePostcard service that enables you to stay connected with your pet during their stay. We will email you a series of photos while also providing a written update on how they are enjoying their time with us. This can be added to your booking under 'Extras'.
